When authorities responded to an alleged domestic violence incident near Fort Worth, Texas, on Tuesday morning, they found a disturbing scene.
According to authorities, Harkings is the biological mother of all four children. Fabila is the father of one of the children.
Wise County Sheriff Lane Akin tells theWise County Messengerthat the children were dirty and appeared malnourished. “There was food in the house, but it was locked up where the kids couldn’t get it,” he told the newspaper.

Two research scientists from South America have been identified as the victims who were found murdered Saturday amid the smoldering remnants of a Kansas City, Mo., apartment fire.
In a statement to PEOPLE, Stowers Institute for Medical Research confirmed that the bodies of predoctoral researchers Camila Behrensen, 24, of Buenos Aires and Pablo Guzmán Palma, 25, of Santiago, Chile, were recovered from inside a burned midtown apartment.

Two University of the Southwest students survived a fatal car crash in West Texas that killed nine —including six members of their college’s golf teams— and are currently on the road to recovery.
