Two Memphis Fire Department (MFD) personnel have been temporarily “relieved of duty” in connection to the death ofTyre Nichols, the department announced earlier this week.
After footage of the traffic stop that ultimatelyclaimed the 29-year-old Black man’s lifeshowed that Nichols waited 22 minutes for an ambulance, MFD spokesperson Qwanesha Ward said the two employees under investigation were “involved in the initial patient care,” according to NBC News.

One man has been arrested and another man remains at large in connection with the death of Andrea Emmett Jr., a former NBA basketball player who was killed in September.
Emmett, 37, was found shot near his home in Dallas on September 23. He later died from his injuries at a Dallas hospital.
The motive appears to be a robbery gone wrong.
Witnesses reported seeing two male suspects.

Nine months after a Louisiana woman was found dead at an abandoned Navy base, police are piecing together a timeline of her death.
Brooke Buchler, 25, was allegedly shot in the head before her body was dumped at the former Naval Support Activity building in Bywater, La. She was reported missing on Aug. 22, and her body was found the next day,4WWLreports.

Two Florida men are behind bars after they allegedly fatally stabbed their former roommate over a stolen PlayStation 4, PEOPLE confirms.
Jake Bilotta, 22, and Ian McClurg, 21, are each facing first-degree premeditated murder for the fatal Nov. 27 stabbing of their former roommate 24-year-old Joshua Barnes.
“It is the most bizarre and disgraceful act that one can imagine,” Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma said at a press conference earlier this week.

Police in Spain have arrested two men for who they say stole more than $9 million worth of jewelry and cash from passengers at the Barcelona airport.
Catalonia Police Sub-Inspector Francesc Garciatoldreporters Friday that the two men had stolen carry-on luggage from other passengers that contained the jewelry and cash.
Garcia said the men stole the bags on Wednesday but were caught doing so on the airport’s security cameras, which ultimately helped authorities track them down.
