A former librarian and a bookshop owner have plead guilty to the theft and trafficking of books, maps and other rare objects estimated to be worth $8 million from a Pittsburgh library.
The two men did not make an agreement with prosecutors as to sentencing, which will take place April 17.
Schulman’s attorney Ember Holmes told PEOPLE in a statement that her client, who has no prior criminal history, “has accepted responsibility for his association with books that, given the circumstances, he should have known had probably been stolen.

A Minnesota judge this week handed down life sentences to the two men behind the killing of 28-year-old mother-of-twoMonique Baugh, a respected realtor who was found shot to death in an alleyway on Dec. 31, 2019.
On Monday, Cedric Berry and Berry Davis, both 42, were sentenced to life without the possibility of release for Baugh’s first-degree premeditated murder, according to a statement from the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office.

Harrowing video footage shows the moments two men sprang into action to help a woman in a wheelchair who fell into the water from a cruise ship dock in St. Thomas last week.
The woman, a guest on the Carnival Fascination cruise ship, was with a family member when the chair fell into the water in the Virgin Islands on Aug. 12, a spokesperson for Carnival Cruise Line tells PEOPLE. That’s when a pair of local entertainers jumped into the water to help.

What started off as a routine trip turned into an epic survival tale for two men from the Solomon Islands.
Livae Nanjikana and Junior Qoloni set off to make the trip from Mono Island to New Georgia Island, a distance of about 124 miles, on Sept. 3, according toThe Guardian.
“We have done the trip before and it should have been OK,” Nanjikana told the newspaper. Instead, theywere found 29 days laterabout 250 miles away, off the coast of Papua New Guinea.

Wednesday was sentencing day for the two Chicago gang members convicted of murder inthe 2015 execution-style killing of 9-year-old Tyshawn Lee, and each will spend decades in prison.
PEOPLE confirms Dwight Boone-Doty, 26, and Corey Morgan, 31, were sentencedafter being found guiltyfor shooting the boy in an act of retaliation against his father.
At trial, prosecutors described how the two men lured Lee, who was on his way home from school, into a Chicago alleyway, with a promise to buy him a snack.
