2 Men Sentenced in Fatal Shooting of Mich. Singer Whose Hands Were Bound with Christmas Lights

Egypt Covington. A Michigan judge this week handed down sentences to two Ohio men behind the killing of a popular musician and singer who was found shot to death and bound with Christmas lights in her home six years ago. Eugene Moore, 37, was sentenced to 20 to 55 years after also pleading guilty to second-degree murder in addition to a felony firearm offense, the AP reports. Michigan State Police said Covington, 27, was found dead in her Van Buren Township home on June 23, 2017, just one day after she was last seen at a yoga class,PEOPLE reportedin 2020.

2 Men Went Missing from Utah in Late February and Their Roommate Was Just Charged with Aggravated Murder

Charles Yoo was charged with two counts of aggravated murder Wednesday in connection with the presumed deaths of William Bull, 29, and Christopher Owens, 28. He was also charged with obstruction of justice on March 8 following a search warrant served on his home where he lived with the two missing men.

2 Mental Health Patients Drown in Florence Flood While Being Transported in Back of Sheriff's Van

The deputies tried to rescue the women, but they could not open the doors to the vehicle as the waters surged. 2 Mexican Gray Wolf Pups, a Highly Endangered Species, Die of EEE Virus at Michigan Zoo

Two Mexican gray wolf pups have died from Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE), the Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek, Michigan, announced Wednesday. For the mosquito-spread virus to infect “canines is very, very rare,” a staff veterinarian at the zoo said in a statement. Both pups died the first weekend of the month, and were part of a litter born on June 14 as part of a Species Survival Plan.
