Two people have died and ten others were hospitalized after they were found “suffocating” in a train car, Uvalde Police said.
Homeland Security Investigations told theSan Antonio-Express Newsin a statementthat it was investigating the incident and “looking at the possibility of human smuggling.”
“We are heartbrokento learn of yet another tragic incident of migrants taking the dangerous journey,” Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas tweeted on Friday.

For the second time in a week, a military projectile was recovered from the same Massachusetts river, thanks to magnet fishing enthusiasts.
TheNeedham Police Departmentsaid that individuals were magnet fishing from the Charles River late Wednesday morning when they picked what appeared to be explosive ordnance.

On Wednesday, the CPSC announced the recall over concerns that the affected products can overheat and cause fires, therefore “posing fire and burn hazards.”
Some of the affected dehumidifiers recalled are found under brand names including AeonAir, Commercial Cool, Friedrich, Honeywell and Whirlpool, among many others.
The dehumidifiers listed were sold at stores such as Lowes, Costco, Walmart, Menards and other retailers nationwide from February 2009 to August 2017 at a cost between $120 and $430.

Two minors were killed and at least eight other people were injured early Sunday morning in a shooting at a party in Pittsburgh.
Shots first rang out at the short-term rental property in the 800 block of Suismon Street just after 12:30 a.m. local time, according to astatement from the Pittsburgh Public Safety Department.
At a noon press conference on Sunday, Pittsburgh Police Chief Scott Schubert said 10 people were taken to local hospitals after the incident (The public safety department initially reported that 11 people had been shot).

Several arrests were made in New York City on Tuesday following the recovery ofprivately made firearmsinside a daycare facility in Manhattan.
Three people, including two minors, were arrested after the discovery and “recovery of multiple 3D printed firearms,” Rebecca Weiner, Deputy Commissioner of the New York Police Department’s intelligence and counterterrorism bureau, said during a press conference on Wednesday.
The arrests came from a previously ongoing investigation that began with “a group of individuals, including some minors, who were purchasing ghost gun parts from online retailers, as well as materials and filaments required to print 3D firearm components,” Weiner said.
