The suspects — Desiree Cherie Hovatter, 19, of Houston, and Austin resident Savanna Nicole Spurlock, 21 — allegedly met the teen at the party, and later, Hovatter is accused of returning with the boy to his home and having sex with him in his sister’s bed.

Just after 9 p.m. on Thursday, a family of four was driving near a Fiesta Store in Harris County when an altercation with another car erupted, Sheriff Ed Gonzalezstatedon Twitter, describing the scene as “horrific.” The father and the other driver exchanged a few words before the suspect allegedlyfired shotsinto the man’s car, where his two small children were, Gonzalez tweeted.

2 Toddlers Killed in 'Totally Devastating' Calif. House Fire That Injured 3 Other Family Members

Two young toddlers were killed and six people were hospitalized following an afternoon fire in California on Monday. The fire broke out in a single-story home in the 32900 block of Blackwell Drive just before 3 p.m., killing two civilians and injuring five adults and one child, a spokesperson for the Riverside County Fire Department confirms to PEOPLE. Several neighbors were among the six people hospitalized, according to KTLA. The fatalities were identified as 2-year-old Julian Alcarez and his 16-month-old sister Arya Alcarez, according to CW affiliateKTLA.

2 Travelers Fined Nearly $16,000 Each for Entering Canada from U.S. Using Fake Vaccination Cards

Photo: Getty Images Two travelers entering Canada from the United States have been fined thousands of dollars after they were caught using fraudulent vaccination cards and COVID-19 test results to cross the border. The travelers arrived in Toronto on the week of July 18, according to the Public Health Agency of Canada. In addition to “providing false information related to proof of vaccination credentials and pre-departure tests,” they failed to stay at government-authorized accommodations or get tested for COVID-19 upon their arrival, Canadian officials said in a news release on Friday.

2 Twin Newborns Found Dead in Trash Bin in Ohio

Two newborn twins were found dead and placed in a garbage can on Cleveland’s Eastside on Saturday. Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said the Cleveland Homicide Police Unit tells PEOPLE in a statement that a 16-year-old female, who police believe gave birth to the infants days earlier, was located and was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. “Investigators will present the facts of this case to the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office,” Ciaccia’s statement says.
