Delilah Hunt, ofGordonville, was critically injured after “a part on a Chevy pick-up [flew] off the engine tank” on July 11, her family wrote on aGoFundMe page. She died three days later.
“We are so heartbroken and sad,” the page read.
Delilah was sitting on a four-wheeler at a family birthday party when the incident occurred, according to CBS/Fox affiliateKXII.
“It was just a random freak accident,” first responder Tim Bilderback told the outlet.

Police have found a 2-year-old girl who was lost in a wooded area for more than a day after wandering away from her family during a camping trip, authorities say.
Vitale’s family was preparing to leave the campsite in Comins Township on Monday morning when they realized the little girl was nowhere to be found,according to a statementfrom the Oscoda County Sheriff’s Office, which confirmed the disappearance to PEOPLE.

Attorney Richard Mithofftold theHouston Chroniclein an article published Wednesday that the child, whose identity has not been disclosed due to privacy reasons, continues to be treated for a brain injury that has left her at risk for seizures for possibly the rest of the toddler’s life.
“She (the child) has an injury to a part of the brain, and it is permanent,” Mithoff said. “She remains subject to seizures and is on medication and will be, perhaps, for the rest of her life.

A 2-year-old Canada girl may never walk again after a freak accident left her partially paralyzed on her left side, her family says.
Jaclyn Derks was “playing, laughing and being joyous” in her family’s Calgary home last month when she fell onto a drinking glass that had been left on the floor, according toa GoFundMe pageset up to cover the toddler’s medical expenses. Derks’ mother, Kayla Rudichuk, tells PEOPLE she was out shopping for groceries when her mother called with the terrible news.

Two-year-old Harper Comparin has spina bifida, a rare condition that caused her spinal cord to fail to develop properly, making walking and movement difficult. While there is no cure for spina bifida, there are treatments that can help, and Harper has undergone multiple surgeries and trips to the hospital, according toABC News. But the hospital stays have become a nerve-wracking experience for the young girl, and have caused her to lose trust in the doctors who treated her, the news station reported.
