The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) plans to move forward with its 2022 Golden Globe ceremony, even if the awards showwon’t be televised on NBC anymore.
Back in May, NBC announced it would not air next year’s Golden Globes, which the HFPA hosts, after outrage was sparked from aLos Angeles Timesexposéthat saidthere were zero Black members within the HFPA. (The HFPA is comprised of 87 international journalists who determine the nominees and winners of the Golden Globes each year.

The 2022Grammy Awardshave been postponed until further notice.
The Recording Academy and CBS announced in a joint statement on Wednesday that the 64th annualGrammy Awardswould be postponed amid the ongoing COVID-19 surge.
“The health and safety of those in our music community, the live audience, and the hundreds of people who work tirelessly to produce our show remains our top priority,” the statement read.
“Given the uncertainty surrounding the Omicron variant, holding the show on Jan.

The 2022Grammy Awards' nod to the lateVirgil Ablohduringtheir In Memoriam segmentSunday has many speaking out against the show’s reference to Abloh as a “hip hop fashion designer.”
“I’m not even a big virgil abloh guy but calling him a ‘hip-hop fashion designer’ is wild disrespectful,” anotherTwitter user said.

This Sunday’sGrammy Awardswill feature a special segment dedicated to Ukraine amidstRussia’s ongoing invasionof the country.
The Recording Academy announced on Saturday that it is partnering with Global Citizen and its “Stand Up For Ukraine” fundraising campaign to include a segment for Ukraine in this year’s Grammys telecast.
The segment will “raise awareness about the situation in Ukraine and will feature opportunities for viewers to take action and contribute to the global ‘Stand Up For Ukraine’ campaign,” the Recording Academy shared in a Saturdaypress release.
