After nearly four decades spent behind bars serving time for a murder they didn’t commit, three Maryland men are going home.
Circuit Court Judge Charles Peters released the men from prison, but not before apologizing for the system’s mistake,The Baltimore Sunreported.
“On behalf of the criminal justice system, and I’m sure this means very little to you gentlemen, I’m going to apologize,” Peters told the men Monday night after wiping out their convictions, the outlet said.

Three bear cubs are on the road to recovery after being burned ina Washington wildfirethat tragically killed their mothers.
After hibernating this coming winter at PAWS, the bears — two of which are believed to be siblings — will be released back into the wild this spring, according to the outlet.

One cub’s paws were so badly burned that it was forced to crawl out of the forest on its elbows, while another had its eyes swollen shut, per the outlet.

A 25-year-old man’s claim that he escaped from the hidden basement of an isolated Dutch farmhouse where he and his five younger siblings lived with a 58-year-old man for nearly 10 years while awaiting the world’s end has left authorities scrambling to fill in the details of his story.

What is the relationship between the older man and the six siblings?
They allegedly had no contact with the outside world and lived self-sufficiently off their vegetable garden and livestock while anticipating “the end of time,” according to the news channel.

Dallas police are investigating the murder of the third black transgender woman to be killed in the city since October.
“We are concerned,” Chief U. Reneé Hall of the Dallas Police Department said in a press conference Monday.
On Saturday, the body of Chynal Lindsey, 26, was found in White Rock Lake. She is the third black transgender woman to be killed in Dallas since October and the fourth to be murdered there since 2015.
