These are the words Kim Irvine says each day as she strolls through Disneyland in Anaheim, California, where she works. Though Kim’s mom, Leota Toombs, died at the age of 66 in 1991, she lives on as the face of Madame Leota — the iconic ghost that has been presiding over the park’s Haunted Mansion ride since it debuted in 1969.
Disneyland is “so quiet” in those early hours that “you can definitely hear my mom’s little voice, ringing out of the hallway,” Kim, the Executive Creative Director at Walt Disney Imagineering, tells PEOPLE.

Three Georgiamen charged with the murder of Ahmaud Arberyare now facing federal hate crimes charges in the unarmed Black jogger’s 2020 death.
InJune, the men were chargedwith malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and criminal attempt to commit a felony in the February 2020, death of 25-year-old Arbery.

Three Georgia teens face murder charges after their alleged plan to egg the house of a man because of what authorities termed an “ongoing lovers' quarrel” went horribly wrong, say police.
On July 3, Spalding County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about a “man down” on the 100 block of Dobbins Mill Road and found a white male dead on the ground from an apparent gunshot wound, the sheriff’s office said in a media release.

Sheri Pierce, a spokesperson for the city of Valdez, toldAnchorage DailyNewsthat a kayak guide spotted the three bodies just before 10 a.m. during a group tour at the Valdez Glacier Lake.
According to the outlet, two of the bodies were floating in the water near the toe of Valdez Glacier, while the third body was found on an ice floe.
Pierce noted that the three tourists, who were wearing life jackets, are believed to have been inside an inflatable canoe before they died.
