At least three people died and many more were injured after a masspileuptook place during a snow squall in Pennsylvania on Monday, according to local officials.
The snow squall led to clouded visibility before the accident on Interstate 81 in Northeast Pennsylvania on Monday morning, officials told theAssociatedPress,The New York Times,NBC Newsand local outletSkook News.
“The road conditions when the squall came through contributed to the accident,” John Blickley, a spokesman for the office, told theTimes.

Wisconsin authorities investigating a triple-homicide last week in Hamilton have taken two men into custody, and believe a dispute over $600 preceded the fatal violence.
Nya Kou Thao, 33, and Khamthaneth Rattanasack, 41, are accused in the execution-style shootings of Trevor Maloney, 23, and Nemo Yang and Peng Lor, both 24.
The two men were apprehended at separate locations, and at this time, no formal charges have been filed against them.

A 32-year-old woman with ahistory of IVF failuresmiraculously gave birth in Greece on Tuesday after undergoing an experimental procedure that involved using her DNA, the sperm from the father and an egg from a donor woman.
“A woman’s inalienable right to become a mother with her own genetic material became a reality,” Dr. Panagiotis Psathas, president of the Institute of Life in Athens, said in a press release.

Three people remain missing after an apartment building in Iowaunexpectedly collapsedon Sunday afternoon.
Davenport Fire Chief Mike Carlsten said during a Tuesdaypress conferencethat seven people were rescued within the first hour of the collapse and 12 were escorted out of the building. Additionally, more than 150 first responders, medical and city staff rushed to the scene within that time.
Officials were also able to rescue a number of animals that were taken to the local Humane Society on Tuesday.
