After the Russian state-run media outlet Pravda identified three Tennessee National Guard members as “mercenaries” who were killed while fighting in eastern Ukraine, the U.S. National Guard refuted the report as “patently false” on Thursday.

The University of Oklahoma is mourning the loss of three meteorology students after they were killed in a car accident while chasing a tornado in Kansas on Friday.
Nicholas Nair of Denton, Texas; Gavin Short of Grayslake, Illinois; and Drake Brooks of Evansville, Indiana, died in a crash shortly before 11:30 p.m. Friday, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, perCBS News.
“Just a tragic accident,” said Lt. Phillip Ludwyck with Oklahoma Highway Patrol, per News9.

As schools in Florida’s Broward County prepare to reopen, area educators are mourning the loss of threeteachers who all died from COVID-19within a 24-hour period.
The three teachers — all of whom were unvaccinated — came from two elementary schools in the county. Janice Write was a 48-year-old teacher from Pinewood Elementary, while Katina Jones, 49, and Yolonda Hudson-Williams, 49, were teachers at Dillard Elementary,NPR reported.

Three fatal victims from last Wednesday’smass shooting at a biker barin California have been identified.
Since her death, aGoFundMe campaignhas been created to help raise money for Clark’s 13-year-old son.
“Tonya, a single mom, had just moved back to Orange County, from Scottsdale, and was set to start a new job the next day and was happy to be close to Saddleback Church again,” the fundraiser reads.

Three police officers in Tacoma, Wash., are facing felony charges stemming from the death of Manuel Ellis, a Black man who died after he was handcuffed and restrained in custody last year.
Police also initially said Ellis allegedly banged on a patrol car and attacked two police officers who were trying to calm him down.
According to astatementfrom state Attorney General Bob Ferguson, officers Christopher Burbank and Matthew Collins have been charged with second-degree murder.
