According to police, all four people went missing after their respective vehicles were submerged in the flood waters,BBC Newsreports. Police said the missing children were the only two of the five total passengers unable to escape from their car, reports the BBC. The same goes for the other two people missing, a man and another young individual, as the two other passengers were rescued from their vehicle, reports the BBC.

As of Oct. 18, there are 141 confirmed cases of Legionnaires’ disease and four deaths that began at the NC Mountain State Fair, which was held between Sept. 6-15 in the western part of the state. Experts believe the disease, a potentially deadly form of pneumonia that spreads when people breathe in the bacteria from mist or water drippings, originated from a display of hot tubs in one section of the fair.

Photo: Getty Four people, including an infant, were shot dead during a “shooting rampage” that took place in a Lakeland, Florida, neighborhood this weekend, according to authorities. An 11-year-old girl was also shot and is currently in surgery. The ordeal began on Saturday evening when police were alerted to a “suspicious vehicle.” A woman in the area told police that she noticed a car and a “strange” person who told her, “God sent me here to speak with one of your daughters,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said during apress conferenceon Sunday.

The Chariton County coroner confirmed Wednesday that two victims were from Kansas and the other two from Missouri, according to theAssociated Press,The Washington Postand ABC affiliateKMBC. Train passengers Rochelle Cook, 58, and Kim Holsapple, 56 — both of DeSoto, Kansas — were pronounced dead at the scene.

Four people were found dead in New Jersey Tuesday afternoon after a mansion mysteriously erupted in flames. A man was found outside of the home and allegedly suffered a gunshot wound,according toNJ.com. However, Gramiccioni explained in the news conference that authorities cannot confirm if the victim was shot or whether or not it was self-inflicted. At this time police believe the fire was intentionally set, Gramiccioni said, and the investigation is ongoing.
