A 4.5-magnitude earthquake rocked the San Francisco Bay Area on Monday night, though officials say there were likely no fatalities.
According to theUnited States Geological Survey, the earthquake hit near Pleasant Hill, California, around 10:30 p.m. local time. The agency reported that the earthquake had a depth of about nine miles, and was felt as far north as Chico, California, and as far south as the San Jose area.

Fisher-Price has recalled approximately 4.7 millionRock ‘n Play sleepers.
“Consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact Fisher-Price for a refund or voucher,” the government agency said in a statement.
“Since the 2009 product introduction, over 30 infant fatalities have occurred in Rock ‘n Play Sleepers, after the infants rolled over while unrestrained, or under other circumstances,” the recall notice stated.
“However, due to reported incidents in which the product was used contrary to the safety warnings and instructions, we have decided to conduct a voluntary recall of the Rock ‘n Play Sleeper in partnership with the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

More than three dozen people — including 24 children — from a California suburb became ensnared in the unfolding chaos in Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover earlier this month,the Associated Press reports.
The families from El Cajon, a city located 15 miles outside San Diego, had traveled to the country this summer to visit relatives, including their grandparents, according to the AP.
Some members of the group, which also includes 16 parents, witnessed violence in and around the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul in recent days as they tried to return home.
