A knife-wielding man allegedly allegedly stabbed nine people at a 3-year-old girl’s birthday party in Idaho on Saturday night — and six of the victims are children, PEOPLE confirms.
The violence took place at an apartment complex in Boise. Nobody was killed, but four of the victims have life-threatening injuries, police said in a statement.
The child victims range in age from 3 to 12 years old, according to a police statement.

Six hikershave been rescuedfrom Mount Katahdin in Maine after a member of their group lost consciousness, according to officials.
The 21-hour response began around 10 p.m. local time on Saturday, according toNorth Search and Rescue, a local non-profit search organization.
Five rescuers climbed two separate trails to reach Knife’s Edge, where the group of hikers was stuck, North SAR said. Two Baxter State Park rangers scaled the Dudley Trail, while three North SAR members scaled the Helon Taylor Trail.

And on Wednesday, HBO concluded its two-part broadcast of the documentaryI Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth v. Michelle Carter, which tracks the events before and after 18-year-old Conrad Roy III took his life in July 2014 and Carter, then 17, told a friend that she herself was to blame.

Six road construction workers were killed in a car crash on the Baltimore Beltway Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
The accident, which took place on I-695 in Woodlawn, occurred when two cars — an Acura and a Volkswagen — collided, and the Acura wasforced into a work zone, Maryland State Police said in a news release.
The driver of the Acura, identified as Lisa Adrienna Lea, 54, of Randallstown, Maryland, was transported to an area hospital with injuries, according to Maryland State Police.
