This veteran’s age isn’t stopping her from acing a pushup competition!
The former U.S. Army nurse, who served during the Vietnam War, was waiting in Phoenix to board a plane out to Washington, D.C. through Honor Flight — a nonprofit organization that flies veterans to the Nation’s Capital to tour the monuments. And DeSanti couldn’t resist demonstrating her workout skills at the airport.
Honor Flight Arizona shared a video of the momenton Twitter on Wednesday.

A Missouri man who allegedly shot a Black teenager who rang the wrong doorbell while trying to pick up his younger siblings has been charged with two felony counts.
Andrew Lester, 84, who is White, has been charged with assault in the first degree and armed criminal action in the Thursday shooting of 16-year-old Ralph Yarl, Clay County Prosecuting Attorney Zachary Thompson said Monday,according to KMBC News.
“I can tell you there was a racial component to this case,” Thompson said at a news conference,according to CNN.

Kim Emmons Knor is traveling the country jumping out of airplanes — and at 84 years old, she has no plans to stop.
Knor has made 600 jumps in her life, and is hoping to earn her Gold Wings for making 1,000 jumps within the next two years.
Skydiving has been Knor’s passion since she was 6 years old, she tells PEOPLE.

While Potato the Sulcata tortoise may not have the speed, that didn’t stop her from making her run — erm, crawl — from home in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The 14-year-old tortoise was found slowly making her way alongside Interstate 40 on Sunday after breaking free from her backyard enclosure, according to her owner Chelsea Hattaway.
The discovery marked the third time Potato — who weighed just 25 lbs. when Hattaway adopted her from a tortoise rescue nine years ago — had been found away from her home.

The Maui County Mayor has confirmed that 850 people are still missing after thedevastating wildfireson the island.
Mayor Richard Bissen shared the news in avideoposted to the County of Maui Facebook page on Sunday.
He also confirmed that the death toll from the fires has now risen to 114 people, with only 27 individuals having been identified so far.
