A shooting at a 12-year-old’s birthday party in LaPlace, Louisiana, has left nine children injured — including one teenage boy who suffered a gunshot wound to the head, according to authorities.
The violent incident occurred on Saturday night after “verbal confrontations” broke out during a birthday party on the 600 block of Golfview Drive, the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office said in anews release.
Upon arrival on scene, officers discovered that nine children were injured in the shooting.

Investigators believeMarybeth Tinningdid the unthinkable. Over a 13-year-period from 1972 to 1985, they allege the Schenectady, New York, momkilled all nine of her children.
Doctors initially attributed the death of some of the infants to SIDS and speculated about a possible hereditary disorder, and the 75-year-old Tinning was convicted only ofmurdering 4-month-old daughter Tami Lynnein 1985. She was recently granted parole and is scheduled to walk out of prison as early as Aug.
