Nine members of one family werekilled on Thursday after a duck boat capsizedon Missouri’s Table Rock Lake — and officials say the victims range in age from 1 to 70, PEOPLE confirms.
Seventeen people died and several were injured after the Ride the Ducks boat capsized in the Ozarks as a thunderstorm ravaged the water at the popular tourist destination.
The youngest victim was 1 year old and the oldest is 70, a spokeswoman for the Stone County Sheriff’s Office tells PEOPLE.

A training exerciseinside a cavetook a fatal turn for a group of Brazilian firefighters after the roof collapsed and killed nine people, according to officials.
The Altinópolis' Mayor’s Officeconfirmed the tragedy in a press release, explaining that nine victims were found dead inside the cave and another seven were rescued.

Nine people were shot amid celebrations for the Denver Nuggets’ NBA championship victory early Tuesday morning, about three-and-a-half hours after the final buzzer.The Denver Police Department said ina statementthat a suspect is in custody and no one was killed, but three people are in critical condition.
“This is a complex, ongoing investigation in its early stages,” Denver police said early Tuesday morning. “Preliminary info indicates multiple shots were fired during an altercation involving several individuals.
