A 9-year-old Minnesota boy had no intentions of running a 10K race — but that didn’t stop him from winning it anyway.
“I had everyone looking for him, even a fireman,” she said. “I was like, ‘You need to go find my son.’ I was bawling. This had never happened before.”
Eventually, Lovell’s brother-in-law, who was running the same race’s 10K route, received word from a spectator that there was a young boy running the 10K, too — and he was doing “really well.

But the victim, who is not named in the reports, “was found to have been shot in the back of the head and had lacerations to his head, face, hands and arms" — which according to authorities, ruled out the possibility of suicide, one warrant said, per KSL News Radio.
“Medical personnel at the hospital advised that the lacerations to the extremities appeared to be ‘defensive wounds,'” the warrant said, per the radio outlet.

McKenzie Adams was a 9-year-old fourth-grader with a “bubbly, fun-loving personality” who loved to tell stories and wanted to be a scientist when she grew up. But her life was cut short on Dec. 3 when she hanged herself in her grandmother’s home in Linden, Alabama, after enduring months of bulling, her family says.
“Something happened that day from one of these bullies that pushed my niece over to the edge,” Adams aunt, Eddwina Harris, 33, tells PEOPLE.

The 9-year-old who was on life support after getting trampled atTravis Scott’s Astroworld Festival has died.
The family ofEzra Blountconfirmed the news on Sunday toABC13 Houston, bringing the death toll from the tragic concert to 10.

After spending the day with his family, Logan Gagnier, 9, unexpectedly died after going to bed on Friday night, his uncle, JD Sheppard, told Fox affiliateKSTU.
“Saturday morning, the house kind of starts waking up and mom said, ‘Where’s Logan?’ They went to wake him up, and unfortunately, he passed early on in the evening,” Sheppard told the outlet.
Sheppard, who created aGoFundMeto help support his nephew’s family, wrote on the fundraising page that Logan had “no known sickness or trauma.
