She added that, after the gun misfired, “we all ran out.” Asked if the gun was loaded with a real bullet, the script supervisor said she didn’t know.

911 Caller Believed Burning Body Was Actually Mannequin. Now Police Have Launched Homicide Investigation

A spokesperson for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office tells PEOPLE first responders discovered the body in an open field in Ruskin, Fla., roughly 30 miles south of Tampa. The case is still under investigation and considered to be a homicide with the victim remaining unidentified, the office said ina press release.

911 Caller Said He Saw Brian Laundrie Hitting Gabby Petito: 'Gentleman Was Slapping the Girl'

“He was slapping her?” the dispatcher replies. “Yes, and then we stopped. They ran up and down the sidewalk. He proceeded to hit her, hopped in the car and they drove off,” the caller adds. However, another officer wrote in the report, “It wasn’t clear, but I believe it was reported the male had been observed to have assaulted the female.” After the couple spoke with police, Petito went back to the customized van in which the couple was traveling and Laundrie stayed the night in a hotel, the police report states.
